What is the source of this data? Epic is hands down the most widely used EHR and the numbers above don’t add up to what we know are active implementations.
There are currently about 940,000 doctors in the US and less then half have an EMR but the numbers above total 1,250,000? Take a look at the number of docs that were certified and you will see a far different ratio
I have posted a link to a page where they explain their rationale. This is more a ‘popularity’ rating than strictly an index of how many users each platform has. They use a variety of data including website traffic, search engine traffic, social media followers, etc. You can make of their methodology what you would like. They made some changes to their infographic based on feedback they received last time they did this, so you might want to consider letting them know what you think. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for the post. This is excellent. Epic is very popular in the midwest and I assumed it was popular everywhere. Glad to see Practice Fusion up there, the industry needs more companies like them. And kudos to NextGen of Minnesota
