What: On this edition of the podcast Conversations from Studio B, host Jackie Wolf talks with Randy Longenecker, M.D., the Assistant Dean for Rural and Underserved Programs and a Professor of Family Medicine at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. They discuss training students in rural medicine, on a podcast of Conversations from Studio B, how to get students interested in rural medicine, and how to transition from medical school to a rural medical practice.

Why: “Most physicians working in urban underserved areas don’t live there. And that is a big difference, to me. When you live in a community and it’s your community, that creates a whole new layer of stuff”, says Dr. Longenecker.
